Late 19th/early 20th century wooden mortar and pestle–it looks like maple but seems light for maple. In as found condition–if cleaned and waxed the color would come up more boldly but I will leave that to the buyer. Obviously used but in good condition–a couple minor shrinkage cracks as you can see in the photos, but attractive and a nice small size. The mortar measures 4″ x 4 1/2″ and the pestle is 8 1/4″ long.
