From my collection for your review & considerations is a very nice Vintage Antique heavy brass mortar & pestle. About 4-1/4 inches high and about 4-1/2 inches wide at top. Pestle is around 7-1/2 inches long. Weight of mortar is 3#1oz alone and 4#5oz with pestle. Likely used many years ago in a pharmacy or apothecary but other uses are possible also. No idea the age. It has been in my collection for 30+ years and I suspect it was many years old when I acquired it. Nice patina adds to it’s character.
